Power Grid Stops After first research.

I was playing the Dangerous scenario and I was just about to complete the first research on automation. I put 10 red science packs in the lab and just as number 10 was about to finish the power grid shuts down. I got red electric symbols over the lab and one electric miner I placed. Both were in range of the power polls. I was not using any mods. The game didn't stop. Instead of bringing up the tech page to allow me to select the next tech to research, it just shut down the power grid and everything stopped like there was no power even though everything should have been running. This is the first time I am playing a new game in version 15.9. I did import one save from version 14 and the research worked fine there.

If you imported a 0.14 savegame, the most likely cause is that the boilers changed shape since then, and usually don't connect to the boilers/steam engines initially. Red electrical icon means the devices are connected to a power grid but the grid does not have enough power generation (brownout/blackout). So check your power generators, the problem must be there.

Sorry about the confusion. I was not playing the imported saved game. This was a completely new game I started in Dangerous world mode.
