How to play hard?

So I started a game on ahrd last night. (the hardest setting I could) and I died 5 seconds after spawn. I spawned and was killed by like 10 biters. Couldn't run cause then I would agro another pack. How does one accomplish this?

I haven't tried it myself, but I would guess that you need to increase the size of the starting area to give some space to maneuver.

Some maps are impossible to beat if you start in the middle of a pack of biters. You have to restart until you randomly spawn in a safe area.

I would choose marathon another time. I played 2 marathon early game, and it becomes a challange. But choose med/high ore, and medium/high biters, depending on your pref.

Theres many scenarios, mostly with mods that are unplayable. For example marathon, with low ore and highest enemies. Just no chance at all.
