Feasibility of "manpower"

Post by thenameipicked »

I'm getting into modding, and I'm looking to create a "hut" or "city" that would provide "manpower".

I've had 3 ideas to implement this (from favorite to least favorite):

1. Two different power grids, one of them being "manpower". Different machines may require one or the other (or maybe both?). I don't care to make "manpower" expandable using power poles or the like, it would be a simple radius around a building. (This is really nice because I don't actually want other humans to actually be seen)

2. Logistic bots. The biggest hurdle with this one is that I don't want humans to fly. Is it possible to have logisitic bots do pathfinding on the ground?

3. A city (machine) produces humans that follow a custom path (transport belt) to perform an action, and then transform into "tired humans", which need to be transported back into the city. The biggest problem I have with this one is that I want both types of transport belts to be distinct: Humans follow paths, but every other resource follows standard transport belts.

How feasible are the above ideas?
