Simple integrated blue circuit processing

Post by vanatteveldt »

For a 'no spoon' attempt I wanted a simple design for making blue chips from iron/copper/plastic/SG. I tried avoiding intermediate belts and came up with this:

(apologies, no blueprint string, had removed the mod for the achievement)

The ratio of 1:1:1:2 blue:red:green:cable is not quite perfect, but with some speed1 modules in the red and blue plants it comes pretty close according to helmod (https://mods.factorio.com/mods/Helfima/helmod):

So, a red belt and two yellows should be able to supply 8 of these blocks which will produce 30 blue/min, which according to https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comme ... uirements/ should be enough for the speedrun.

What I dislike about the design is the double UG iron belt which is a bit annoying to build under time pressure :). But I guess I only need 8 of these, so it doesn't matter that much...
