Seeking help with Multiplayer connection

Quite new Player and bought it off Steam, playing with friends is really fun.
MY issue / our issue is that only 1 out of us 3 can host a server due to the fact that if any other does it we get the message "couldn`t establish network communication with the server."
We are all who bought the game from steam, checked firewalls and have our port forwarded, yet there is only one that can host. I would also like to connect to other friends that hosts servers and maybe host myself.

Would like some help with this please.

Yeah, I have the same issue here. It's most likely your router you're using.

My family has has the "best" (worst) luck when it comes to buying routers that actually let me port forward without any issues whatsoever.
We recently got a new gaming router from ASUS that has 1 2.4 GHz band and 2 5 GHz bands. Unfortunately, my parents never trust me with any piece of advanced tech that's under a year old, and usually never let me touch anything that fits that criteria. However, we still have our old Linksys router with 1 2.4 GHz band that my parents will let me port forward. I tried port forwarding my computer to allow my friend that is 980 mi (1577 km) away to connect to my computer, and still no luck. Tried restarting the router, still no luck. Your best bet is to connect directly to the modem with a Ethernet cable.
