Factorio (no mods) crashes at seemingly random intervals. I think it happens more in busy areas but can happen anywhere. Most times the computer simply locks up and does not respond to any input so I have to do a hard shutoff. When I check the logs after, there is not much info. factorio-previous.log is an example of such a case. factorio-current.log is different as it crashed with an error message and actually recorded something in the log file (which is why I'm finally making a post). Something to note is that the crashes used to be much more frequent but after some searching on these forums and trying various things, I found that forcing opengl through the steam startup options made the crashes much less common.
Laptop info:

Re: Sporadic crashes
It's crashing allocating memory.
That means it's either running out of RAM (you have 12 gigs so unlikely) or your RAM is going bad (more likely).
Try running this once: http://www.memtest.org/
