first im french and sorry for my fault :roll:

To transport the trains and vehicle in the inventory seems to me not logical(i have 50 train in my inventory and is no heavy xD )

Instead of making the train and vehicle by the handcraft, they gonna have 2 type of garage to making them

1.Train Garage: a big garage you need to connect on a rail and with it you can make Train and wagon. they have 2 entrance(In front and behind) for making train and wagon on the same track!.
when a train is heavily damaged you can repair with a repair pack but just 60-75% health,for full repair you need to place it in a garage and need ressource for more complete the reparation (like Plate,motor,electronic and long time)
the train garage gonna be expansive (inserter,crane,liquid,other think) because gonna be a big garage !

2.vehicul Garage: Same like Train garage but no need rail and when you put the car or tank in and you can upgrade it, example: remplace cannon for flame thrower,put portable fusion reactor with battery and laser turret,better motor for more speed,more armor,energy shield. and repair pack can repair to 70-85%. with different type of damage(armor,motor,turret,shield generator)

if you want remove the vehicul or train you have two choice: destroy it or go in the garage for disassemble

I find that it can add a little difficulty or make it easier to chase alien ! need to return to garage for full repairing because the motor works badly or the armor is Seriously touch and you are more vulnerable
and can force the player to make train station with 3-7..or more each other for making place of parking for replacing destroyed train or heavily damaged! Because you still need oil and repairing cost time !

and just a idea for a new vehicul. a crane: example: need to make a rocket silo ! you place crane and you deploy it and give the materials needs for the big construction ! and different size of crane with different construction zone

this is my idea :) aftes 140 hours of play

To you ideas: As I understand it, you want this mainly, cause you want to repair train/car. But did you know, that the construction bots do that for you, if you give them repair packs? (Just let a train wait long enough on a train stop with a nearby roboport).

This suggestions make sense in some context:
Train-Depot: Able to create/construct a train with some properties (schedule, wagon filters etc.) and also to econstruct it. Could be controlled by circuit to create new trains when needed. Perfect addition to the logistic train network mod.

Car-port: Able to "catch" a car in some area around the depot to supply it with fuel and load/unload it more or less fast.

For example: the area around the car-port behaves likes automatic belts (see here viewtopic.php?f=27&t=35037 ) that moves cars. Special plates placed around the car-port. Car is moved in, like in a car wash and after done it is moved out (also like in a car wash).
