No wonder... Free to Play is basically a better term for Pay to Win.

They all work with addicting gameplay or fast content updates and they all have huge grindwalls that can only be overcome in a timely manner by paying money, just that paying in a f2p game eventually means paying magnitudes more than one-time retail games cost due to how all the microtransaction/dlc crap start to accumulate.

In my opinion the free to play model is one of the worst financial models in the entire game industry and should be banned from the markets for deceptive practices due to how it seduces people to become addicted and dump horrendous amounts of money into a game, possibly ruining their life.

Yeah, I know there are some F2P games that firstly don't seem like they are really about monetarizing... but the few that work that way are mostly the ones that are subsidized by a huge ass company that uses money from other IPs to support their F2P game just for the sake of having a foot in the door and not being left in the dust... and while they are at it they often tend to push/advertise their other IPs on players of the F2P game... and that's where they get the money back.

At least I wouldn't spend another Cent on that stuff because I don't feel like being ripped off.

And that without a discount sale and still being in early access. Quite some people on steam only buy in discount sales, and other people have been bitten by bad early access, and thus avoid it like the plague.
