Game Speed???

Hi Guys,

I'm over 6hrs into a game and its dawned on me everything is working very slowly. I don't mean performance issues, I mean building such as mines, inserters (all types) are moving painfully slow but the little blue dude is running around at normal speed.

To be sure it wasn't performances I've loaded the sandbox and a campaign and stuff was running at normal speed.

Its probably something obvious but I'm left scratching my head. Can anyone help?

Do you have enough energy? If not the electric machines will all slow down, but still work.
If you right click a power pole you'll see a graph of 'electric network info', and at the top of that are Consumption and Production power bars, Consumption should be maxed out (all green) and Production NOT maxed (meaning that all machines have power and you have some spare power for other machines). You can also hover over a steam engine and see that the Performance is not maxed (again, you are not using all that you are producing which is good) and that Available performance IS maxed (the engine has enough water at 100 degrees)

Also, you can press F5 to see your current Frames/ Second in the top right of the screen, standard rate is 60 fps, on big factories it might get quite a bit lower (on slower computers). Use F4 to show other (debug/usefull) statistics.

Yep, that was it, I'd misunderstood the meaning of the production bar, I though full was good Thanks.
