[14.18] Demo: Error on startup: equipment-grid.lua not found

Each time I launch the demo it crashes on the loading screen with the following message:

Failed to load mod "base 0.14.18"
__base__/data.lua:38: module prototypes.equipment.equipment-grid not found; no such file __base__/prototypes/equipment/equipment-grid.lua no such file __base__/prototypes/equipment/equipment-grid.lua no such file /Applications/factorio.app/Contents/data/core/lualib/prototypes/equipment/equipment-grid.lua

My system: OS X 10.12.1.

I have same problem on Windows 10.

What type of installation do you use?

I tried both of them. Installer and zip.

Confirmed on Windows x64 zip demo, it is missing at least one file/folder.

base/data.lua requires prototypes.equipment.equipment-grid on line 38 but there is no equipment folder in base/prototypes.
