Personal Inventory stack size increase but vanilla chests

Tried to sum it up in the subject.

I hate the limited stack sizes in my inventory but I find they're very balanced in chests and other inventories.

Is there a way to increase the stack size in the player inventory by a multiple of, let's say, 10? But keep stack sizes vanilla for chests, trains, etc?

You may suggest that I increase the inventory size by a factor of ten but that's awkward and unsuitable - I would argue unusable.

what do you mean,
like larger inventory
or bigger stack sizes

but i don't think you can change stack sizes for only player inventory, and not effect chest, ect

stack sizes are part of the item-prototype and can't be changed at run time. Your best bet would be to increase stack sizes for items, and decrease slot counts for chests/trains if this is a route you really want to go.

Hmm... I guess that could work. I've settled on a 200 item stacksize rather than 1000 for now. I shall investigate this later. Thanks, people.

You can increase stack size and reduce chest capacity size. Will reduce number of item types that will fit.

Or, increase player inventory size significantly, Which will probably fall off the screen/require scrolling.
