Hello Factorio staff,

First comment; I love factorio. This game is everything I look for in a game from Factory construction to tower defence to constraint management. I get an awkward erection when playing this game.

But this post is about my minor annoyance with Factorio. I really dislike how the technology page ATTACKS you when you finish a technology. It makes me jump, maybe I startle easy but its aggressive to hault what you're doing immediately and force you to pick a new technology. This happened to me while I was being chased by the bugs and I almost died!!! I think a small pop-up window, like achievement style on xbox and such would be the perfect way to notify the user of a completed technology rather than force the window to the front.

I know what you mean. I play this a lot with headphones on, and when that woman used to shout in my ears in 0.8.8 I used to jump out of my skin.

It's better now but I still agree a popup window would work better.

Lol. Time to add more quotes to the bottom citation module at factorio.com...

And this sudden pop up is sometimes annoying, but I'm sure this is one of the things, which needs to be fixed for multiplayer, so I'm hopeful, that it will be removed latest in 0.11
