severe lag

hello, i have been playing the particular game for about 100 hours, for an unknown reason mid game i suddenly experienced severe lag........please help!!!!
what do you need from me to help solve this?

have tried resetting my machine, the game only seems to be using a fraction of the computers resources, this is the first time this has happened, game has been problem free until now.
