Mod portal in game upgrade seems a bit confused.
There is an 2.0.11 version of RSO on mod portal and I have version 2.0.12 in my copy. It thinks that my version needs an upgrade and wants to overwrite it.

Re: Mod portal - strange mod upgrade rules
It might be the case that it determined you do not have the latest version on the mod portal; this is technically correct, if you have a newer version.
Re: Mod portal - strange mod upgrade rules
And tad bit dangerous since if I would click update I would lose my copy
Silent overwrite of uncompressed mods is currently a bit dangerous functionality of mod update feature.

Re: Mod portal - strange mod upgrade rules
Whenever version number is a trackable field, it should always be checked with a collation rule instead of an equivilance test. Unfortunately, even big companies (Microsoft) forget this from time to time.
Re: Mod portal - strange mod upgrade rules
Thanks for the report,
The mod portal just checks for the most recent, if your local copy isn't on the portal, it makes assumptions that the one on the portal is more recent
I will move this to mod portal discussion, and i don't feel like it is a high priority to fix, but we may look at it

Check for updates suggests older versions
Merged with existing report, see Klonan's answer above --daniel34
Hello,
if you click check for updates at the ingame mod browser, older version of installed mods are suggested as updates.
If a newer version is installed manually, older versions should not be marked as update.
Greetings steinio

Thanks for merging.
Could be an issue if more complaints arrive.

Re: Mod portal - strange mod upgrade rules
Did you change anything on that issue?
I have manually installed VisibleBots version 0.4.2 and on the portal is 0.4.0 but i don't downgrade.
At checking for updates, it's marked for new version.
