Re-Enable achievements?

I have the DRM free version from the website, so achievements have no real significance, I just want them to track my progress.
A few hours in I tried (and failed) to use a command to see if peaceful mode was enabled. Now I can't earn any achievements ;_;
is there a way to re-enable them or do I have to restart?

There is no way i know of to re enable cheevos. Id assume this is to prevent cheating through them. Though if you just want achievements you can join any sufficiently developed multiplayer server and theyll pop.
