Hi. I'm using the latest patch and have an issue where inserters stopped loading wagons. I switched from stack to fast inserters to compensate but they can stop as well. The set up is a couple of requester chests getting multiple items (6 types each) to load a specific wagon with building supplies. On another part of the same map, a military supply wagon is similarly turning up without certain items - that are in the requestor chests of the military set up but are not being inserted. If I replace the inserters they work sometimes.
It started after a rolling blackout. I now have ample (excess) power, but still the issue crops up now and then. I tried closing and re-opening the game but it's still a bit buggy. Other than that I am loving the new stuff.

Welcome to the world of inserters with stack bonus research.
Inserters can carry 3 items at a time. If your wagon can only take 2 of those items the inserter is too dumb to put the item down and pick something else up. It will just sit there holding its hand out waiting for the next train to come by so it can drop its goods. Stack inserters face the same problem just with 12 items at a time.
There are a few recent posts discuing this "issue"
The simplest way to work around this for now is to put 1 requester +1 inserter for each item you want loaded.
Also this behaviour is the same as in .12.x with the exception being now in .13 stack bonus also picks up stacks off the belts too. Leaving us with no easy way to get exact limits with just 1 inserter.
