[NOTABUG] [0.13.3] Full Inventory While Crafting

Post by fandingo »

I was crafting some items with a full inventory. As usual, this causes the crafted items to be dropped, which is fine. When I noticed this, I put down a chest and freed up some inventory space.

The problem is that subsequently crafted items still trigger an inventory full message, and the item is dropped. This occurs when the player queues up many items to craft and frees inventory space in the middle of crafting all those items. It seems like the game is not properly rechecking the inventory after crafting each item, and instead, the game calculates when to drop items when the queue is populated, not when the that particular item finishes crafting.

How it happened:

1) have 1 free inventory slot (including toolbelt)
2) Queue crafting ~90 stack inserters. (They all needed gears crafted as a dependency.)
3) Once 50 inserts are crafted, subsequent items are dropped with inventory full message.
4) Place chest and free up several inventory slots by transferring some stacks before the crafting queue finishes.
5) Even though there are empty inventory stacks, crafted items are dropped.

I can't reproduce, it works perfectly for me.

Are you clearing space in your main inventory or the quickbar?

The quickbar will only ever hold 1 stack of an item unless you put more than 1 stack in it.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Apologies for sending you on a wild goose chase. I should've tried harder to reproduce before reporting. On a second try, no errors.

Confirmed not a bug.
