Headless + OSX

I have a bit of a puzzle. I own factorio on PC via steam and would like to run a headless server on another machine (an OSX box). The problem I am having is that I don't have a full version (headless or otherwise) that will run on OSX; the trial (which the headless server page points to) doesn't let you start a server (which makes no sense) error "--start-server is not available in the demo version" number 1. Do I need to purchase another license? Or? Any help appreciated!

The demo version cannot run as a server for the full game and the free headless server on the website is only available for linux.

You can, however, download the full version for Mac OS X even if you bought the game on Steam:

• Make an account on factorio.com if you don't have one yet
• Go to your profile page (click on your name on the top right)
• Scroll down to connect your Steam account with your Factorio account
• Now you can download the full standalone version

That version supports the --start-server command.
