Open saves in map editor

Hi everyone.

I'm having an issue where I cannot open my save file in the map editor. It worked once, I copied the save from the saves folder, and unzipped it in the scenario folder and let it overwrite everything. But after that one time it has never worked again.

I am not sure whats causing this. The map editor will open the save with the map that was generated prior to doing any kind of editing.

I had a need to go back and forth between the gameplay and the editor because I was testing various things with automated construction and sanboxing, but I couldn't plan it all in one go (not advanced in the mind like some of you smooth cats).


Kinda late for this but I hope this is the place to be posting this question, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you guys
