Hey ho Factorians
Me and my Friend have following problem, when we join a selfmade server (even when we join vanilla public servers):
"Cannot join. The following mod script files are not identical between you and the server:
mod-base"
We use boath Base Mod 0.12.33 and no other Mods. We have a fresh install.
We tried a lot of things but nothing worked. And we did not find any tread about this.

If you're getting that error then someone in the group of players has modified their game files. Either you, or the person you're trying to connect to.
You can go into steam and click the "verify local files" option to check and re-download anything not correct.

i tryed this out, but i found no damaged files. i reinstalled the game 2 times (i deletet even the files in appdata/roaming manually)
is there a way to deinstall the game completly? Maby there are some invisible files somewere i dont see?

Upload the log file from everyone's computers and I can tell you who has a modified game.

Here the log. I think mine is the problem, becaus the other guy had a completley fresch install, without any mods.
I found some not vanillia data in \Factorio\data\base

Those checksum values are saying you've got the correct files for the data.lua portions (at least when you ran it to generate that log file).

Vanilla Factorio does not come with data/base/control.lua, so just remove that file.

I have no clue. There is your problem. You have data/base/control.lua with something in it, but the host you're connecting to does hot have that file.
For other People and for the producer of the game.
I think i got this error because i copied mod files into the factorio main folder and not into the Appdata/roming folder.
The Problem is, that you can not reinstall the game via steam. New install brings the wrong files back.
It would be awsome if there would be any way to solve this in feature versions of the game.
Because up to now: If you have wrong files in your main folder, they are still there after new install.
