Hey,

Actually the space rocket may be used to get to the Moon and mine resources from there .

Next goal after the space rocket can be a

0) Launch rocket to the moon
1) Make space drones
2) Make landing rocket that can land in the water - like SpaceX
3) Use the space drones on the moon to mine rare resources
4) Bring rare resources back with the landing rocket
5) Build (uber expensive) space station and space elevator for auto transport of rare resources from moon
(i.e you need to repeat step 0-4 for each resource return if you don't have elevator)
6) Use the rare resources for building spaceship (like star trek)
7) Leave this planet
