Cant play multiplayer

Hi, im fairly new to posting on forums so my forming the problem might be scetchy.

Me and my friend recently bought factorio but we cant multiplayer since the downloading of the map is between 100b/s-550b/s which takes way to long to download and once he have downloaded the map he disconnects. We both have good internet and we use forwarded ports and we have tried shutting down our firewalls and checked for soloutions online but doesnt seem to fit our problem. Quick responses are much appreaciated.
