LOOKING FOR VANILLA MP SERVER & FRIENDS TO PLAY WITH

Hello, I am semi new to Factorio and have watched a lot of lets plays.

I'd like to find a vanilla server to play with new friends. Preferably a dedicated server.

Also I have a question...? Do I need to have my 34197 udp port open to play on someone else's server? or do I just need that open to make my own server?

I live in Michigan which is EST
