How to upload a world (For someone else to download)?

So, I was trying to host a custom world I made in the map editor, but due to Non-Factorio related reasons, I was unable to host it myself. In order for my friend and I to play a co-op together on that map, he needs to get it from me so he can host it himself.

Problem is, I don't know how to upload/download worlds and google didn't help me regarding this matter.

Hello,

I assume you are on Windows.
Your maps are zip files in %APPDATA%\Factorio\Saves. Just open an explorer window and type this path in the path entry. (Like you would do with C:\MyData)
You can then use any online file hosting service to send him the file. I would suggesst Dropbox if you have an account, or Mega.co.nz, or http://www.filedropper.com/ (first result on google, I'm not affiliated with file lockers).
If you have a proper mail account you can also send him the zip file.

Then you friend has to put this file in his own save folder, then launch the game. The 'map' will then be available in the game.

if you're starting a new session, you can also copy the Unique ID for your generated map for someone else to paste into the game and create the same map.
