Hi,
It would be awesome if in the really late game (maybe even only after first rocket?), warfare could be researched further to make fighting aliens less tedious. For example, if I could send large armies of combat robots into a particular area of the map just by giving them directions on a map or something like that (without having to go there myself to fight them, but prepping the area for expansion more automatically). The point would be, it's ok if it costs a lot, but it optimizes the time spent by the player on fighting aliens to expand or get more resources.

The devs have a rework of the combat and weapons on the todo-list. I just don't know when.
