The first thing it does is not work at all.
Attempting to run Factorio results in no visible effects. Watching task manager reveals the program starts, then immediately closes afterwards, and it does not appear in the tasklist on the taskbar. No blanking out, blacking out, glitches, or other graphical phenomena occur on the screen anywhere.
The log follows:

My screen setup is mildly weird, as this is a laptop turned into a sorta-desktop. An external screen is plugged in via HDMI (and is the one identified in the log), and meanwhile the laptop's main screen has been disabled (it isn't even 1280x720, anyways).
I have re-downloaded it and extracted a new demo (exact version, from the "stable demos" page), to no difference. Following the forum instructions for graphical problems (which requires that I create the config folder and .ini myself) results in no difference. Searching for the problem (forums and google) turns up nothing related.
As a side note, turning on or off fullscreen in config.ini doesn't effect the size or position of the window it attempts to create.
EDIT: Other programs are starting to run into openGL errors. I am suspecting my installation of Intel vulkan drivers was shortsighted.
