Remove/pickup building?

Very beginner question...I just started playing the other day and am trying for the life of me to figure out how to remove/pickup (even delete?) a building after I've placed it so I can move it to a new location. I was doing it the other day by double-tapping the LMB and RMB together on my Macbook but now its not working. I've looked at the keybindings a million times and tried everything...am I missing something or can someone please shed some light on how to do this?
