Electric Mining Drill Issue

I'm a new user today. Played the Demo and bought the alpha. I want to create electric mining drills, but don't have a "recipe". The wiki says no technology is required, so I think I should be able to use these without any additional research. Please provide enlightenment about what I am doing wrong.

Question withdrawn. It just looked too much like an electric pole to me.
