This is a common annoyance once I get to the construction robot phase. I make a blueprint with a level 1 belt, underground, splitter, lv2/3 factory and then when i research better belts etc I need to place down my blueprint, replace all the components then re-create my blueprint. It would be nice to have a way to define an upgrade chain or have it implicit in the items (kind of how they are hot swappable now, like belts) and apply it to an existing blueprint and it would pick the best of each component and update the blueprint.
It would also be nice to be able to downgrade a blueprint, eg. once blueprint sharing is implemented. This way you keep one blueprint for each type of thing and when you start a new game, you dont' have access to the best belts so a downgrade option would be nice too.
Allow blueprints to be upgraded

This one has alreadu been suggested :

Until it's implemented (or if it's not), you might want to use this mod :

Re: Allow blueprints to be upgraded
Thanks, I'm already using that mod, but my suggestion is to upgrade the blueprint itself not things already constructed.
