Hello,
I was getting into factorio in the last few days, but it seems the last few updates broke something for me. I can not start the game on my dell venue 8, while I was successfully playing the game with good performance on it a few months ago. I am getting a strange sprite load error on 10% load. I have gotten a fresh installer, suspecting some sort of corruption of the installation, deleted the factorio folde in appdata and reinstalled the game, but still no luck. If someone could drop me a hint on what I am doing wrong, I would be very thankful.

Re: Running Factorio on Dell Venue 8
the 0.11 stable? I don't about that one.
If the installer version fails, you could try the zip file version instead.
I would also suggest you try the latest experimental (Currently 0.12.17) and see if the problem still exists there.

Re: Running Factorio on Dell Venue 8
Download the latest experimental update (0.12.17) and configure video-memory-usage to medium or low (see link DaveMcW posted). That should help.
Re: Running Factorio on Dell Venue 8
I absolutely forgot that the experimental version is downloaded separately. Strangely, I did not even have to tweak the configs. It just worked. Developer aura in the thread I guess. THank you everyone, I got my solution!
