Recently, the installations of Factorio on both my laptop (W8.1 64bit) and my desktop (W7 64bit) stopped acknowledging the existence of newer version of Factorio Core. Experimental updates ARE enabled in settings. I attempted to reinstall Factorio from the most recent installer, but it does not fix the issue. Factorio, with experimental updates enabled, still will not acknowledge the existence of a newer Core version. It updates the modpack without a problem, but the Core updates don't exist in the eyes of the client.
Is this a registry bug or something? I don't know why it won't update and it's frustrating!
I've already verified that the problem does not reside with my ISP. All I know is that my save files are useless right now because I no longer have a new enough version of Factorio installed.
Has ANYONE else experienced this problem? I don't know what could be causing it, but it affects any installed version of Factorio on my computer. I don't have a clue what's happening and I need help!

Re: Factorio will not update Core
There are issues with upgrading major versions (0.11 -> 0.12).
