Hello; I'm new to the forum but have been playing the game for a good while now.
Lately I've noticed my robots are congregating in circles around my roboports. Like so:
They just hang out there and never seem to leave the circle. What causes this behaviour? Does it mean I have too many bots? Have they invented some kind of religion? I'd appreciate an explaination if anyone knows what's up with this.

Re: Help with idle robots
It's most likely they want to recharge but there are to many of them.
Try to add few more roboports in the area so there are more charging slots available.

Oh, that's probably it! I forgot about the whole recharging mechanic. Thank you so much for the prompt reply.orzelek wrote:It's most likely they want to recharge but there are to many of them.

Re: Help with idle robots
Either recharging or missing storage space for the stuff they're carrying, that'll cause them to float around as well (but since they're still using electricity, they'll need to recharge so they'll congregate near the roboport)
I don't have OCD, I have CDO. It's the same, but with the letters in the correct order.
Re: Help with idle robots
They are discussing your continued existence, you are right to fear them.
Re: Help with idle robots
Idle robots are either waiting to recharge, or have panicked because they've run out of yellow chest storage. There is no warning sign when a logistic system is out of space.
Be careful of having TOO many bots waiting to recharge. Once the bots in line run out of energy they take longer to reach the charging pads, slowing things down even more.
Roboports have ridiculous storage and only 4 charging ports. Try to have a roboport for every 50-100 active bots at least.

Re: Help with idle robots
Yeah most likely a power problem, but could be storage as well.
I would suggest throwing down several Roboport in higher traffic areas to help support all the robots charging.
