Editing Survival Map

As Factorio is still fairly new to the gaming industry i have had a frustrating trouble finding my answer. Forgive me if this has already been asked, please link me to forum! I have spent a lot of time in my current survival save and have come to find out that oil reserves are very far away from my main location and not really worth the distance to resource ratio (below 75%/node) is there any way i can edit the config file or map file to generate oil nodes closer or map edit them near my base? I appreciate everyones help in advance!

One thing I want to mention first is that oil is infinite. The patches go down until 0.1 (10% yield), but then they stay there.
