I mean, I'm sure there'll be some kind of error message and an abort, rather than the game proceeding.
But what exactly happens?
And how much information is given out? Are the players told specifically which mods they need to (download and) enable or need to disable, in order to be able to join the on-going MP game that they were just rejected from?
What happens if MP players use different mods?
Re: What happens if MP players use different mods?
This happens:
The game compares the mods the server and the client uses and gives out the message listed above when the mods are not matching. It doesn't tell you which mods you're missing or having when you don't need them, it just tells you which mods the server expects.
You are expected to have the same game version and mod configuration, otherwise the server won't let you join.
