Description
Place an auto inserter between logistic chest (requester/provider) and assembly and it sets filters/requests/limits automatically. This is just a convenience for setting up logistic production. The automatic setup only happens on placement! After that it's just an expensive smart inserter. If it sets up correctly it should set its filters to give an easily visible cue that it worked.

That's one way to go that I can agree with, but it should come with a price - maybe a research ?

Even better in my opinion - make a tool that you click the assembler with (left click) and then click (left again) the smart chest/inserter to impose the necessary items and amounts - should be very useful and cool

That's an interesting mod. Did you know you can copy-paste from an assembling machine onto a requester chest to automatically set the request filters to that of the assembling machines recipe?

Yup it is buit in, but was only added in 0.12 so it may not be widely known yet.

Updated to 0.13.15. Cannot guarantee it is bug-free or that it will smoothly update from 0.12 saved games, and multiplayer will be spammed with messages.

- Removed the auto-inserter and moved functionality to filter-inserter.
- Input request slots now default to 4 times the recipe amount.
- Output now changes the provider chest to 1 stack capacity rather than using the circuit network.
- New localization messages.
- Limited options in the config.lua. These are verbose for error reporting and ingredient_request_multiplier for requester chests.

Waiting to hear back from the original author before posting to the mod portal.
