allow some power suit items to be modules, so can be used in assembling machine(AM), example portable fusion rector(PFR) or portable solar panel.
PFR could power AM and one tile area around AM for inserts
Also player could have a AM w/ FPR(s) just for powering other AM's in a outpost
also if radar units had module slot(s) they could be powered or have increase in range or sensitive with lost of speed.
Note Factorio has now been develop to the level that by making items more exchangeable the game variety can be increase and not increase playing complexity .

I like this. It's a high enough cost that it will never trivialize power lines, but we could have max-density logistic factory layouts with it.Dark_star wrote:PFR could power AM and one tile area around AM for inserts

I like the idea of radar units being allowed to use moduals.

Re: allow power suit items to be modules
Using a Portable fusion module to power an assembler is reckless and insanely expensive. It sounds pretty cool. Would shield modules and personal laser turrets also work?
Re: allow power suit items to be modules
How about shield units ON laser turrets ...you know just to be absolutely certain to run out of power? Who needs concrete walls when you can have a wall of shielded turrets
