Cargo Wildcard as Signal Condition

Post by derimmlerzockt »

TL;DR
I want to use the "item parameter" in a train interrupt's circuit condition.

What?
I want to achieve the following (the first condition is irrelevant for this discussion):

grafik.png (36.1 KiB) Viewed 215 times
Which can currently only be done via pipetting the "item parameter" symbol, as clicking the box for the circuit condition opens this menu:

More importantly, it doesn't seem to work, i.e., even when the train has cargo and gets the signal from a train station, the interrupt does not trigger.
Yes, I can put down a combinator to compare the train's cargo against the signal, but that's an additional combinator I need to include with every train station.
Why?
It is "how it should work intuitively", imo.
If there's another solution to this which avoids additional combinators, I'd be interested in that as well.

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you're looking for. You want to have the condition circuit ITEM_PARAMETER > 0. What do you intend for that to mean? Do you intend for ITEM_PARAMETER to mean the signal type (iron, copper, etc) for any item cargo carried, but with the value of that signal taken from the signals sent to the train?
