Parameterized Blueprint Editing Works Poorly

Post by ThatsSmurfedUp »

I have a lot of parameterized blueprints that are both grid set and dynamically change inputs/outputs. I really appreciate being able to update the blueprint by selecting new objects, but I really hate having to reset all of my comments and parameters.

IE, I have a set of blueprints for a hexagon set of rails with dynamic inputs or outputs.
{0} is the type of input or output, {1} is the number of wagons
I use a formula to calculate the cargo capacity and determine how many loads of cargo I either need or have, which takes the stack size of {0} and does a formula based on my parameter stack size and number of wagons. I need an additional parameter for container capacity for supply stations.

When I update my blueprint, I lose the comments, variables, but most importantly, the annoying part, the formulas, which I have to copy again each time.
If I cursor select in the right order, I can sometimes preserve the formulas.

Since formulas are preserved when dragging a cursor from bottom to top instead of top to bottom (I assume this has to do with the ordering of selection to do the update), then I can tell some part of the formula is preserved. Could we make the formula and parameter the default behavior or a selectable behavior for updating blueprints? Even if I have to place them without selecting specific parameters, that would be amazing.
