[2.1 Feature Request] Selector Combinator Trigger for Random Input Update

Post by Fatsack »

TL;DR
Allow triggering the 'random input' modes update by circuit signal conditionals rather instead of only by the built in timer.

What?

Currently the update to the random input mode of the selector combinator can only be controlled by a timer you manually set inside the GUI of the selector combinator. It would be much more dynamic to allow circuit signals to control when the selector combinator updates and chooses a new signal at random. In addition it would be nice to see the incoming and outgoing circuit signals by red/green channel like in other combinators. It would also be nice to have an option to ignore a couple of specific signals you might be using to control the random signal update.

Why?

Currently the only way to control when the selector combinator updates and chooses a new signal at random, is by setting the clock internal to the selector combinator in the GUI. This would become a much more dynamic and useful tool if we could set conditions (circuit network signals) for 'when' the randomly chosen signal gets updated.
