What did you do?
- Start Factorio
- Enable/disable one or more mods
- Click confirm
What happened?
- When going through the above, two sometimes three times, Factorio does not startup after closing
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
- Factorio close and then start up again
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
It seem pretty consistent, the second or third time, I change someting in the mod selection, Factorio does not start up again.
It is less common when Space age is not enabled. About 7 or 8 times enabling/disbaling mods.
Happend with the linux zip version on MX Linux with XFCE
The logs are directly after Factorio would not start back up.
The OS process monitor does not show any leftover factorio process. No signs of a crash in any logfile.
Edit:
I started factorio from the console, I disabled all mods and only enabled Space Age(auto enabled dependencies) and clicked confirm. Factorio didn't start up again. See console_start.log
Edit2:
My deskopt is running on XFCE 4.20 which is still on X11. But when I switch Factorio to "Prefered Video Driver = Wayland" , Factorio always restarts as expected. I added another logfile, where wayland is selected in Prefered Video Driver.
Forgot to rename the logfile, but there is no hint that "wayland" is now selected.
Edit3:
Well seems it is still happening with "Prefered Video Driver = Wayland". Going from "no mods" to enabling Space Age did again not restart, it worked 10 times yesterday.
