Idea for MOD: timeseries graph for circuit signals

From my RateCombinator discussions, I got the idea to show circuit-value history in a time-series manner: link

Although not very specific, I would appreciate your feedback and thoughts about the demand of such a mod in general, or use cases.
The only use case that comes (currently) to my mind (where I would use such a mod) is one combinator monitoring damages of all space-ships. However, I use a RS-latch to report any damage...

RateCombinator could already be used for graphing, but only as a side-effect:

Regarding an implementation, I could imagine something like rrd-tool, with min/max ranges inside the graph:
