ideas for more end game content

so i have almost reached the end of the game and my logistics network literally does everything. there is no reason for me to harvest ores aside from filling up more and more crates with smelted and unsmelted ores. My factory recently went dormant becuase literally nothing was running except the conveyer belts becuase nothing was being produced or used up by anything. I was wondering if anyone else has had this similar type of problem. I also was trying to think of a few things that could make the game more interesting around the end of it and here are a few ideas that i had.
1 An underground world that is more dangerous than the overworld but can only be reached using a super expensive piece of mining equipment. (then you would have to tunnel around for ores that would be richer than surface but also rarer and have to deal with the waste products that would be made using some type of minecart system. You could potentially use either the existing train or a new type of train to travel around and collect ores and possibly mine.) this would also contain monsters that can one hit kill you if you do not have really good armor or drones or turrets with you.
2 A boss monster that spawns when you either fully finished the science research or build the (end game items i forget the name.) It will then destroy anything that you do not have defended well enough and will soak up a huge amount of damage to kill.
3 A system kind of like in the challenge modes where you deliver a certain amount/type of item to a structure that in turn could start some type of challenge such as smelt 2000000 iron in ______ amount of time. then it will get a new challenge and so on.
4 Possibly have the biters get stronger than they are now when you build the end game items and extend the radius that they get bugged by pollution/ all out start attacking you until you kill them for a certain radius around any structure you build.
please keep in mind that these are all just suggestions that i have not developed a lot. If you have more ideas or suggestions for how to fix my problem please tell me.

There are also mods out there that add to the game's complexities as well as change the aliens' aggressiveness level near the end. Just look under the "Mods" section.

As for me, when I reach the end stages of the game, I start to think "how do I make this better next time", and start doing all sorts of wacky base designs. Most of those don't survive to the next game, though.

I wish there was more of a reason to explore. I know there are resource deposits, but some explore-able structures would be sweet, finding rare loot or something.

People love loot.
