[2.0.76] Cannot connect to multiplayer.factorio.com

Post by Yess »

I used to be able to access the server list perfectly fine for many months, but it stopped working a few days ago.
When I try to access the server list from "Browse public games", I get the following error:

Trying to curl the server list from a command line doesn't work either, or access it using Google Chrome, not even an error page received:
>curl -v -G -d "username=Yess" https://multiplayer.factorio.com/get-games
* Host multiplayer.factorio.com:443 was resolved.
* IPv6: (none)
* IPv4: 34.32.156.188
* Trying 34.32.156.188:443...
* connect to 34.32.156.188 port 443 from 0.0.0.0 port 55188 failed: Timed out

* closing connection #0
curl: (28) Failed to connect to multiplayer.factorio.com port 443 after 21125 ms: Could not connect to server

Google Chrome shows nothing:

tracert to the server works though:
>tracert -d -w 200 34.32.156.188

Tracing route to 34.32.156.188 over a maximum of 30 hops

(1-7 are local and ISP addresses)

TCP packets seem to be dropped before reaching the server:
>tracetcp.exe 34.32.156.188:443 -n -t 200

Tracing route to 34.32.156.188 on port 443
Over a maximum of 30 hops.

Wireshark shows no response from the server at all, even when using the Factorio executable to send the TCP packets instead of traceTCP.
May somebody on the WUBE team check if my IP address is blacklisted, or at least confirm that the problem isn't on your end? ( I can share my IP in a private message, I'm paranoid of putting it publicly on a forum post. )
If you would rather look through log files for my IP rather than wait for me to send it to you, here is a screenshot of Wireshark with timestamped packet send times in GMT ( the displayed source address is for my local network, not my public internet IP address ):

Nevermind, the issue has resolved itself. Likely that my ISP has assigned me a new IP address.
