TL;DR

add cargo wagon items filters to the definition of train groups

What?

Train groups exist, which allow easy copy pasting of train schedules, control conditions and interrupts. Cargo Wagons exist and slots in those cargo wagons can be set to only accept specific items. But: when a train is configured to become part of a train group, doing this doesn't automatically copy the cargo wagon filters to the wagons of that new train. They have to be copy-pasted manually.

Copy pasting the entire train already replicates the filters and the train group, as well as creating blueprints that only contain the train.

So it's not a hard QoL Problem, there are ways to achieve the one or two click new train with correct schedule and filters, it's just a bit weird that the group setting doesn't do it.
