Easy persistent self hosted Factorio Server on AWS

Hi everyone,

I’ve created a set up guide that lets you deploy a Factorio multiplayer server on AWS EC2 using CloudFormation. It’s designed for easy setup, automatic S3 backups, and minimal cost (AWS Free Tier eligible).
Great if you want to set up a Factorio Server for you and your friends with minimal set up required

Features:
Automated EC2 deployment with CloudFormation.
This means you can start and stop your server by the click of a button (for example when you don't need it anymore).
Game saves backed up to AWS S3 for game persistence and easy download of game files.
Minimal manual setup, fully documented
Configurable instance type (if you need more compute power for larger saves), backup interval,

Setup:
Create or use an S3 bucket
Upload your server-settings.json (see example config)
Deploy the CloudFormation template
Connect and play!
