Low Wayland framerate on latest update

I use a linux-based wayland setup on all my machines. I've never had any problems with it (started using wayland native rendering ever since it was announced in the factorio friday facts 408).

In the last update, one of my machines has been experiencing extremely low frames rates (2-3 fps), even on the main menu. I tried downgrading my graphics drivers in case that was the issue (quite easy on nixOS) to no avail. However, when I switched my rendering to X11, everything is a bit more blury but the framerate is back up to normal. Any idea what might be causing the issue?

Blurry-ness sounds like “Render in Native Resolution” has been disabled.

Attaching your factorio-current.log file from a Wayland startup would be helpful, as it contains a lot of information about your System and Settings.
