potential parameterization display bug on 2.0.47 (build 82606 expansion, linux64)

Post by nipsy »

It's entirely possible this is only happening with the Linux build. I don't use Windows, so I can't easily test it. And maybe this is simply how this feature works, but I don't think that's the case from other videos I've seen on YouTube for example.

I have this blueprint of a parameterized electromagnetic plant that works great:

Code: Select all

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
However, if you go into "Parameterize/reconfigure the blueprint.", all of the formula fields seemingly indicate a syntax error, as all of the fields are shaded with a red background to indicate there's a problem. Which when hovering over any of the fields, is shown to be "Unknown variable '...' at position # near '...'.". If you remove any of the formulas, it also only shows under the "Available variables:" at that point in the pop-up hint the generic "pN_..." variable names, instead of actually showing the currently defined variables elsewhere in the form, as I've seen in other people's clients (presumably the Windows builds).

Anyway, just thought I'd report it, since I think something is slightly broken here that, while it isn't breaking anything otherwise, doesn't seem to be consistent with other people's versions I've seen.

Thanks for the wonderful game!

Sorry about the duplicate. I tried searching initially for a similar report, but clearly should have used the advanced search to try to narrow things down to just the bug (and sub) forums.

Glad you have it fixed already! Thanks again.
