Fluid Energy Source Fluid Categories
I'd like to use a system similar to fuel categories but for fluids, that can be used for fluid energy sources to allow for multi-fluid systems but only a specific subset of fluids. Perhaps a couple versions of steam, or only specific oils that have a fuel value. Something like that. Thanks!

it feels like such an obvious addition, it’d allow me and so many other modders to do so much more with fluids and fluid-powered machines

A biochamber that uses fluid as its energy source should be able to look at any fluid fuel that uses "nutrients" as its category. Filters are nice, but they only allow one fluid. It just seems like something that should have been included if fluid can be a fuel source.

But I am working with fluid powered entites quite a lot, so I could give few examples
I am the author of this mod:
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/diesel_machines
this mod allows you to use machines that are powered by liquid fuels, which often clashes with mods that also try to use fluids to power their stuff even if it's not similar conceptually
For example Planet Igrys (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Igrys) Introduces fuel value to water, in order to make it's pumpjack work.
Which means now diesel machine can be powered with water, and fluid energy source fuel category would help to prevent that.
Another example where that feature would be helpfull would be case like Fluid nutrients mod (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/fluid-nutrients)
Where liquid nutrients also has fluid value but it's clearly not the same thing conceptually as fuel for diesel engine

An addition like this would not change the vanilla experience but would add a lot of possibilities for mods, also i makes sense that if items work using fuel categories fluids used as fuel would work in the same way
