I've notice the following problem: sometimes space platforms get unxpeted huge damage when they are moving between planets in background and I do not look at them. I can load the last save and get the same result. But if I load the save again and switch to the platform, everything becomes normal, and there is no extra damage. Once I've noticed (for a coulple of seconds) that gun turrets do not shoot at all. But it was only one episode. The reason of other I cannot catch.
Find one of such saves attached. The problem appears after about 23-25s after loading if I do not swith to the ship (!).
To reproduce: load the save, do nothing for about 25s.
Result: "Cryo" ship gets damage
Expected: everething ok (it will be so if you will switch to the ship just after loading)
It looks like a performance issue when some optimization dramatically brake user experience. The problem is permanent and comes out up to several times per hour. I've changed the saving rate to one in 3 minutes. It helps a little bit. Sad.
UPD. The Cryo ship at the picture has 9 gun turrets at front that annihilate everything when traveling below Fulgora orbit. The ship does not start transition if the ammo reserve less then 500 magazines. The average travel time is about 1 minute, and if you follow the platform in the remote view, it never gets damage. But if you dont, it gets damage too frequently, and, sometimes, can be almost destroyed.

Re: [2.0.41] Unexpected platform damage
I have also seen an increase in Platform Damage events since the 2.0.41 Beta was released..... It is only happening on Platforms which are traveling faster than 500 km/s, between Gleba/Fulgora/Aquilo/System Edge.
I am trying to narrow down a Reproduction case, but it seems like some turrets are not shooting or targeting for whatever reason. On ships with multiple Rows of turrets the "inner" ones are getting an increase in Damage/Kill count (which is unexpected, as they are normally out-of-range).
Slowing the ships down works, but where's the fun in that?

Re: [2.0.41] Unexpected platform damage
How many rocket turrets you have in the front? 1? I can only see 1 from the screenshot. It may not be enough to destroy medium chunks if you are travelling at high speed.
Re: [Rseding91] [2.0.41] Unexpected platform damage
Thanks for the report. While this isn't technically a bug - the asteroids spawned depend on everything else that has happened in the game up until that very tick - I think it's worth changing so that isn't the case and they're more consistent with spawning.
So with that in mind, I've changed asteroid spawning on platforms to be more reliable for the next release. That means, even if you aren't looking at them, or what other things you do on other planets - they should always spawn the same for a given platform.

If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Thanks! I think it should be at least useful for "debugging" platforms because the player will be able to see the problem when restoring from a save.Rseding91 wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 2:30 pm Thanks for the report. Re: [2.0.41] Unexpected platform damage
The single rocket turret is just for support. The "major calibre" are two railguns that clear the space in front of the platform more efficient.pioruns wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 4:02 am How many rocket turrets you have in the front? 1? This is funny, a day or two ago we were joking on twitch that platforms dont get damaged when you watch them
Thanks for fixing this sort of a bug ^^
