I'd love to be able to play factorio on GeForce Now while traveling, but it seems like it doesn't work. I always get "Error 0xc272f102" after the game loads. This appears to be from GeForce Now, not factorio itself, I never actually get into the game. Other games work fine for me.
Is this expected to work? Anyone else have this issue?
I assume this isn't really a factorio issue but I'm posting here as a last resort. I haven't been able to get any reply from nVidia. I wonder if this is a problem just for me somehow? I haven't been able to find any other complaints, which seems surprising if it was happening for everybody.
GeForce Now has a free tier. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else can successfully launch the game.
Factorio on GeForce Now?
Re: Factorio on GeForce Now?
No clue about GeForce Now, sorry.
Tangentially Related: I like and recommend the Nintendo Switch version of the game for an "On the Go" Factorio experience. It is Multiplayer-compatible with the Base Game (not the Space Age expansion or any Mods), so you can cross-play with the PC version.
Good Luck!

Thanks. I want to keep playing my big space-age save, so Switch isn't for me. I might consider a Steam Deck, but I'm skeptical about using a controller as input.eugenekay wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 7:50 pm No clue about GeForce Now, sorry.

I mostly Agree - the Switch version is not without its issues compared to a Keyboard + Mousesrfin wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 7:55 pm Thanks. I want to keep playing my big space-age save, so Switch isn't for me. I might consider a Steam Deck, but I'm skeptical about using a controller as input.

The Steam Deck looks nice, but it does not have Mario Kart, so there was not much "choice" in my case.
